| The display has an adjustable green backlight,
and the contrast is also adjustable. CallStation
can even flash the backlight when new calls
have been received.
The LCD module is available with either an
RS-232 serial interface or a USB interface.
The serial interface is recommended, although
the USB version can be used by installing
the "Virtual COM Port" driver.
The serial module can be easily mounted in
an empty 5 1/4" drive bay, and is available
from Crystalfontz for $66.50 including the
mounting bracket and all necessary cables
($71 with the brushed aluminum overlay).
The serial module only (no bracket or cables)
can also be purchased for $37. Here are the
